Maybe we're looking at two different thing but I was talking about the
"unused field" above (--). There is no default value and Sheldon fills
it using STI_PARM_VAL_ which represents the number of input data points.
See lines 28 and 67 in mapme.mac. And as I indicated before, I don't
know what the rule means.
