Fern,
Thank you for your answers. I took your first suggestion into
consideration that does speed up the processing like you suggest (1 to
6). With regard to your second suggestion setting the LIMIT parameter.
How do you do that. I could not find anything about that in the help
manual. With regard to the third suggestion, I tried that and according
to Sheldon's rule I need to use about .03 instead of the default .1 .
And that does not seem to matter. I do not understand how he came up
with that rule. In my mesh the elements sizes vary a lot.

Samer,

You should be able to do all parameters in one command where ParR and
Par2 have an equal size second dimension. N(in) X M and N(out) X M
respectively according to TFM. This should speed performance for your 6
parameters.

If you are getting "a lot" of warnings I'd be suspicious of the quality
of your new mesh if so many point are outside the old mesh ... or do you
expect that? Did you at least visually verify the new and old contour
maps?

If your meshes are very similar you may be able to set the LIMIT
parameter lower than default without affecting accuracy. This could
also reduce map time.

Finally, I use a value in the "unused" field based upon a script from
Sheldon Imaoka. Search for "MAPME" at ansys.net and notice how he uses
STI_PARM_VAL_. I added this to my map script a long time ago. It
seemed to make a difference in map time but I don't know why (is may do
nothing anymore ... I'm talking v8 or earlier and I haven't run my map
macro recently).
