Subject: corrupt database

Hi Ansys users.

I'm receiving a strange error message for which I can't seem to find any
info on in the Ansys help file. I'm trying to simply create a new area
in an existing FEA model, and I get the error message 'lines cross each
other'. I've tried to create the area via lines & keypoints. There are
4 lines which simply create a 'box'. I've tried to create the area with
all 4 lines, or the 4 keypoints, but all result in the same error.

I tried to archive out the model, and re-import, but the error persists.
The Ansys ASD suspects it's a corrupt database. Is there any way to find
the corrupt portion within the .cdb file, or any other way to diagnose
the problem?

I'm using Ansys version 11 sp1, on Windows x64.

thanks,

Ted Janzen
