Hi Edmund,

What type of trn files are you writing out? Have you tried writing out
'full' trn files? I didn't know ICEM could load trn files!

I do have feeling that CFX may only be storing the node displacements and
uses this information to display the deformed mesh in Post. If this is the
case, then you may have to write a junction box routine to dump out mesh
files with the latest node locations after each time step. (I have no idea
how much effort this might require). Check with tech support or search the
Ansys customer portal, I am sure this question has come up before.

Subject: [Xansys] [CFD][OTHER]Importing Mesh into ICEM

All:

I have a CFX transient results file(s) that I would like to use to
import into ICEM-CFD.

The analysis was a moving mesh problem, and I would like to get the last
trn file into ICEM.

When I use the run.res file, ICEM loads in the unmoved (0.trn) mesh and
I am unable to find a way to get it to load in a latter time step.

When I use the last trn file, ICEM once again loads in the unmoved mesh.

Anyone have experience with this? I have to admit I am at a loss.
