Subject: Post rupture behaviour in a pipe
Author: James Garroni

I would like to look at post rupture behaviour in a pipe that plugs up with
material. The problem is similar to water freezing in a copper pipe, but
much slower, so that creep of the pipe material is also involved. I want to
look at how the pipe bulges and then eventually fails and even beyond
failure, to see how the material continues to build up and push through the
failure. Can ANSYS handle this, or do I need to use an explicit code like
DYNA?
