Hi,

One of the very good work done on contact resistance is by Michael Yovonovich and University of Waterloo team who spent many years developing different correlations. One of the famous correlation was developed by Cooper and Yovonovich.

You could search the required papers on this link:
1)
http://www.mhtl.uwaterloo.ca/old/paperlib/main_frame.html ( visit papers and new papers and you could find many papers on this topic.

2)

Check if they have done some work which could be useful for your application.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [Xansys] [THERM] Heat resistance values for contact?

Hi,
can anybody out there suggest a source for heat resistance or heat transfer values for contacts? I am looking mainly for values for steel to steel fits (interference to loose) with respect to surface roughness and contact pressure. So far I have only tracked down sources for 'special' cases like vaccuum applications or heat transfer enhancing situations but little for 'standard' fits.

Kind regards / Mit freundlichen Gr
