Rolf:

A most excellent source on this is

"Genium Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow" From Genium Publishing Corporation.

It is a compilation of work originally publish from GE.

There are multitudes of metel on metal charts with various interstitial states (greases, gases, air at different pressures, etc).

Subject: [Xansys] [THERM] Heat resistance values for contact?

Hi,
can anybody out there suggest a source for heat resistance or heat transfer values for contacts? I am looking mainly for values for steel to steel fits (interference to loose) with respect to surface roughness and contact pressure. So far I have only tracked down sources for 'special' cases like vaccuum applications or heat transfer enhancing situations but little for 'standard' fits.

Kind regards / Mit freundlichen Gr
