I've seen no answers to your question yet so will take a feeble stab. In Classic, you might accomplish this with a restart or maybe with upcoord, depending on your problem. As a start, read up on those in the manual.

Not sure if this helps but one thing is for sure. If I'm wrong, we'll hear about it.
