www.ansys.net

There is some apdl code there (I think is is for a transient run) that
sums strain energy.
Strne.mac is the mane of the macro (i.e. search for strne)

It shouldn't take much modification to make it suit your purposes.

Subject: [Xansys] LS-Dyna Strain Energy

I must be a bit slow so I apologize. This should be obvious I know.

I'd like to calculate the strain energy in selected elements
(specifically thin shell 163) but it doesn't appear that I can do that
in ANSYS directly. Is that true? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Matt
