XANSYS run alright w/o attachments so far.

A option might be to limit the size of attachments to say 1MB, as prescribed for a
German ANSYS forum - with further limits on allowable file types and # of attachments.

Subject: [Xansys] [ADMIN] Should we allow attachments?

Since we moved XANSYS to our own server five years ago, we have had a
policy of removing all attachments (with the exception of ASCII text
(allowing log files to be sent)). This has been done for a number of
reasons:

To prevent transmission of possible virus laden material.

To keep individual postings and the XANSYS archive to a
reasonable size.

To make people think before posting.

However it is true that a picture is worth a thousand words and the
Mailman software gives us a lot of control over what is filtered. So
now that we have a whizzy new server, should we allow small pictures in
say jpeg format?
