Yes Martin
As Kamalesh told, if it is in PNG or TIF format also it will be fine,
some simulations and animations also can be done in TIF or GIF files,
with small size in capacity. Maximum 30Kb like you can fix the limit for
that.

Best Regards,

Yes. May be PNG as it's more compressible and clear compared to JPEGs.
May be picture size can be limited to 25 kb/ 30 kb.

Subject: [Xansys] [ADMIN] Should we allow attachments?

Since we moved XANSYS to our own server five years ago, we have had a
policy of removing all attachments (with the exception of ASCII text
(allowing log files to be sent)). This has been done for a number of
reasons:

To prevent transmission of possible virus laden material.

To keep individual postings and the XANSYS archive to a
reasonable size.

To make people think before posting.

However it is true that a picture is worth a thousand words and the
Mailman software gives us a lot of control over what is filtered. So
now that we have a whizzy new server, should we allow small pictures in
say jpeg format?
