Interesting question. I don't know the answer.
But, maybe these 2 variables could help:

elem (int,sc,in) - element number (label)
mat (int,sc,in) - material reference number

I'm guessing if you know the element #'s you could use an if-then.
The material reference number might also be useful.

Again, I'm not sure -- sounds like a neat problem.
