Brahmaji:
I am going through a problem with MPC contact now so did some
troubleshooting.

Interestingly one of knowledge base cases said MPC behavior is different
between versions 9, 10 and 11. ANSYS 9.0 version is erroneous, there was
a problem with ROTX auto constraint.

I am using (force distributed constraint) and seeing excessive stress at
the contact nodes-has anyone seen this?

I have noticed when using the MPC option (force distributed constraint
and rigid surface constraint) on contacts with pilot node, I do not get
any reaction moments when I list reaction solution even when I apply a
moment on the pilot node. I have also replicated the example problem
given in Ansys help file Section 9.3, Figure 9.10 (version 11) and
noticed that the reaction moments were zero, yet I still get the
appropriate stress values for the applied moment.



Has anyone of you noticed this, is this how it is supposed to be?
