I used this command line to get various views of the total strain. Is
this what you are looking for?

/show,png ! output to png format
/gfile,950 ! adjust size of file
/edge,1,0 ! turn off element outlines
/view,,1,-1,1 ! adjust view angle
PLNSOL,EPTO,EQV,2,1, ! plot total equivalent strain
PLNSOL,EPTO,1,2,1, ! plot total principal strain
/view,,1,0,0 ! adjust view angle
PLNSOL,EPTO,EQV,2,1, ! plot total equivalent strain
