The sload command allows settign a relative displacement. I would suggest:

1) Set a ballpark displacement on the pretension element and solve
2) Set up a negative pretension load for ls#2 and lock in ls#3.

I did something similar to this a lond time ago but can't remember if there was specifically a negative load.
I'd try it on a small test model.

we have (once upon a time) successfully utilized EKILL/EALIVE to do pretensioning of bolts. It might work for your problem.
