Subject: Superelement edge plot

Hi there,

We have programmed our in-house beam FE program to be able to generate
superelements for use with ANSYS. So basically we can generate a
superelement of a complete offshore topside module frame and use that as
boundary condition for a detailed ANSYS analysis of a specific joint or
similar. This is in Classic ANSYS, by the way...

One thing we haven't implemented yet in the superelement file is the
"edge plot data" section. It looks as if this is just a series of lines,
so it is tempting to make an 'edge' line for every beam in the topside
frame. However, with a superelement made of many elements, the edge plot
in ANSYS might easily become big and cluttered, and it might disturb the
plotting of the actual ANSYS model.

So basically I would like to know if it is possible to turn off the
display of superelement edges in ANSYS? As far as I can tell, they are
displayed with a normal element plot, and I haven't found a superelement
edge plot toggle anywhere...

Best regards
