I have encountered this problem before. As with yourself, I had
plenty of room available on my system. I got the error when I tried
to resume a db file, and ANSYS then repeatedly crashed out. I
attributed it to my model becoming corrupted in some way. If you can
still open your file, but not run it, do try archiving it. Another
(although stupid sounding) "microsoft style" solution I found was
that if I opened another db first I could generally resume the file
at that time. if that didn't work, it was back to a previous version
for me.

I don't think this error actually has anything to do with memory on
your system. It may, when you get it with a model that is not
corrupt, but I have only ever gotten this error when I had plenty of
available space, so I can't really say. I also tried increasing the
limit on my page file size, to see if that was topping out, but that
didn't do anything.

Sorry that this probably doesn't help you very much. Just thought I'd
write in and add my two cents on this experience.
