The following recovers an aborted job quickly on a NT system if you have administrator priviledges:
start > programs > ansys5.5 > ansys_admin_utility
Click 'display liscence status'.
Click 'run liscence manager utility'.
Wait about 5 seconds, then click on 'bury client'.
