Subject: Substructuring in HM-NASTRAN.
Author: Gerald mscnastran@

Dear all,

I would like to do a "substructuring" analysis of my component. We here use
NASTRAN and Hypermesh.

As far as I understand, what we need to do is to run an analysis of the whole
structure with a coarse mesh and then, from these results apply
displacements/forces (preferably displacements) at the cut section nodes, also
then to refine the mesh in the area of interest and solve. Without the original
loads and constraints. Am i right?

Please tell me what other are the factors to be considered?

Can you pls guide me as how to do it, fast and automatically using NASTRAN and
Hypermesh? It would be a pain to manually take the values from .f06 and do it.

regards

Gerald.
