Try using the control element and APDL to simulate the PID control behavior.
I've had success simlating other types of controls using this proceedure.

Dear all,

I am trying to model a transient thermal problem which consists of a heater
and a solid. The output of the heater is governed by a PID controller, with
the difference between the desired temperature and the temperature feedback
from a certain position of the solid as input.

Is there anyone has similar experience to model the PID controller in
transient thermal analysis?

Thanks in advance.
