As far as I remember, at an earlier version everything worked OK for modal
analysis. You should check your steps carefully, as well as matrices
generated during the generation phase. Make sure you specify mass matrix
also.

As far as I know, ANSYS uses static (or Guyan) condensation. Other
condensation methods are not available directly, only through UPF.
Consequently although the stiffness condensed matrix is always correct, the
condensed mass matrix will depend heavily on the distribution of the Master
nodes.
