There are no problems saving the MS Excel file as a text-file. Or even
better; cut and paste the Excel file into a text-editor, ensuring full
control on the contents of the file. Read the text-file using for example

*dim,x,array,106
*vread,x(1),x-file,txt
(F15.0)
