So, please forgive me if I ask about trivial subjects. We are working on a study of the behaviour of some adhesive joints between plastic adherends (reinforced, composites,...). First of all I wanted to learn how to simulate adhesive joints in Ansys, and as I found that the best way for me to learn about a new subject was making some simple examples, I looked for them in the Verification Manual (which has been very useful for me up today). But I haven´t found any. I´ve triedsome examples I´ve found in the literature, but they only show material properties and results, and my results don´t match with them. I haven´t found the error. Maybe the material model, the mesh density or the mathematical treatment of the results are not the correct ones. Can anybody send me (or tell me where to find) some simple Ansys examples of adhesive joints which include plasticity? Thank you in advance.
