Liang,

Here is the short answer. Both are excellent and respected in the industry.

ANSYS is the king of customization. APDL rules!!
ABAQUS is better for non-linear geometry and material but ANSYS has just
about caught up. I think they are equal in contact.

If you are trying to decide which to purchase I suggest you provide detailed
information on exactly what types of systems you solve and what level of
customization you expect to apply. Also, join the ABAQUS list and post this
questions so you get data from both sides.
