Hello Paul,

Have you checked the Theory Manual?

Dear Users,

I posted this message yesterday and got no replies..!! Was it a trivial one?
Does nobody understand? Here goes again...

I would be grateful for any guidance in interpreting plasticity data in
ANSYS.
We are modelling a bolted flanged connection using contact and solid45
elements.

Our difficulty arises in interpretating the various stresses and strains
that
ANSYS offers (elastic and plastic).

Can anybody comment on how the equivalent strains are related to the
accumulated

plastic strains? How is the stress ratio, SRAT, arrived at? If we are using
a
bilinear kinematic model how can we decide where we are on the stress strain
graph? the effective Poisson's ratio? etc.

Does anybody have a comprehensive set of notes on this area pertinent to
ANSYS.
We would be grateful for your help?
