Subject: Re: Unusual Modal Analysis Error Author: David Ballenger Date: 2002-08-23 12:48:00I guess I should add that I DID check the archive... this error is mentioned there... just last week... However, I didn't see any resolution to the error.

Hi All,
I just encountered an unusual error message.
I am doing a modal analysis on a test stand. It is made up of shell63's, mass21's and beam4's. The model is about 20,000 elements. I am using ANSYS57 on an HP J-box.
I ran this model before. Since then I have added some more beams and changed some of the shell thickness on the REAL cards.
I checked to make sure there were correct REAL and MAT props. I can't think of anything else that would cause a modal analysis to fail.

Any helpful input is appreciated!
