Subject: Re: 6.1 GUI (was Re: start61.ans file )
Author: James Kosloski
Date: 2002-06-12 16:27:00Okay Dan I finally figured this out. It turns out that this new 6.1 GUI is
very customizable but there is really no documentation (yet?) on how to do
it. One of the neat things you can do is create several toolbars and put
them in different places. We can use this fact to change the Standard
toolbar and its fonts. Here in the procedure:
copy /ansys_inc/ansys61/docu/english/tlbrlist61.ans to your home directory
copy /ansys_inc/ansys61/docu/english/toolbars/ANSYSABBR.TLB to your home
directory
edit tlbrlist61.ans and change the path to ANSYSABBR.TLB to be the path to
your home dir.
edit ANSYSABBR.TLB and add the following lines to the end
*ANS_ABB.ABBR*font: -*-*-bold-r-normal--10-*-*-*-m-*
*ANS_ABB.ABBR*textFont: -*-*-bold-r-normal--10-*-*-*-m-*
Note this is for an HP system, the value 10 can be any valid font size.
Restart 6.1

No I was raised mostly on 5.1. Used 4.4 enough to appreciate 5.1 and to be
addicted to the little yellow Ansys guide. Occasionally still have had to
recover a 4.4 file16 and 12 on our "time machine". Man, I wish I knew what
happened to that little yellow book....

I hope you aren't one of those OLD ansys users that liked 4.4 and wished it
would stay that way.
