Subject: Problem with X when working remotely

I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem, which seems to be
only occurring with Ansys. I am using Ansys on Linux. Since there are
currently two licenses available for me to use, but not so much space
on my desk, I would like to use one of the licenses via a remote log
on (ssh) from my desk pc to the remote pc.

All works fine initially. Ansys starts up, I see the correct things
on the screen, and I even can see the very first object (for example
a rectangle) that I create. But then things go wrong; I can erase the
screen, but things do not get displayed like they should. If I draw
several rectangles and try to move around with dynamic view, I see
line plots which do not erase. And other plots (area, keypoints,
etc.) do not work.

Everything works fine if I connect remotely to the same machine from
a Windows machine using an Xserver (WinAxe) on the Windows machine.
But I cannot understand why this goes wrong with a Linux to Linux
connection.

Anyone understand this and can give a tip?

I am using either Ansys 6.0 or Ansys 6.1 (same results), and there is
no problem when running Ansys locally on the Linux machine.

Thanks!
