The command antype,,rest will make ansys continue the analysis from the last
solve load step; you can change material propeties between load steps.

If you don't have to leave solu between load steps, there is no need to use
this command.

Hello everyone:

What does the command ANTYPE with the option, rest? can I with this command
keep the deformed geometry and the calculed stresses for making another
analysis with these as initial conditions?; if I can do that, can I change the
material properties for making a subsequent analysis?
