Maybe a simpler aproach, althought not very nice, is to use a multipro
and add the input strings ater.

The problem with *ASK is that it has an 8 character limit. I assume
his "long"
string is longer than that. I looked in the files section and
couldn't find a
TCL script that did this.

The *ask command will work; enclose the string between single quotes.
