It depends on what kind of models you plan to work with. If you work with shells alot, then I don't think you can beat the PorE and ProMESH combination. However, we find ProMESH very poor for solid tetrahedral work, and we are looking at other meshers to deal with this. We are considering FEMAP and Hypermesh.
