My license problem in v. 5.5 has a different spin to it. The MIS dept. of my facility being on the same side (of a network router) with the primary -one out of three- license server can run BOTH versions 5.4 AND 5.5.
That tells me that I have the license keys for v. 5.5 which also allow me to run v. 5.4 . Is this true ?
When I access v. 5.4, from my side of the network (through 2 more routers), no problem . However, the scheme falls apart when I'll try to bring v. 5.5 up from the same location and the license manager cannot find the license servers. I can ping the server and both sides, MIS' and my W/S go through the same route sequence to access the license on the server, so the connection is there. The servers are Unix-based and the workstations are both Unix and WinNT based.
Is there a fix in Service Pack 1 or newer that can addresses this problem ?
