I tried SP1- no success. My ASD suggested that I uninstall then
reinstall. Creative, huh. I have not tried SP3. Will try this and
check for success.

Thanks for your help-
Ben

I am running on a Dell Latitude CPi D266XT Pentium II
with 128 Mb RAM. 5.4 and 5.5.1. are running just fine !
Did you download Service packs 1 and 3 from ANSYS
for your 5.5.1 installation ?

Best Regards.

Anyone had trouble getting the Interactive launcher to complete on a
Dell Latitude? I've got NT 4.0 SP3 running, with ample resources for
the work I'm doing. I can see the server and all the licenses show up
on the Query. The launcher comes up, but after filling in the job name,
memory, etc. and hitting the run button, Ansys goes away and does not
leave any processes running. No messages or clues whatsoever. CMAP and
Display open just fine- it's the main kernel that won't open. It's a
new installation.
