Thank you Phillippe, I will try both of your suggestions.

Hello,

I also used the substructuring technique in the past and ran into
the same type of problem to no avail. However, come to think of
it now, you can actually input any result you like in an ANSYS
database. I guess you can call this cheating with the *VPUT and
*VGET commands

Say you have sub_A.db with sub_A.rst and sub_B.db with sub_B.rst,
you can combine both db's into a single one(sub_C.db) with the
CDWRITE and CDREAD commands. Then you create Load Case Files with
each sub_A.rst and sub_B.rst ( assuming you have a single LS for
both ).

You should then try to combine and read the load case files in
sub_C.db and this doesn't work, you'll need to feed the results
using the *V... commands. Either way, some APDL is required,
especially if you have many submodels.

Hope this helps.

elements (say SE1.DB) as a seperate result file SE1.rst. I have more
such super elements viz., SE2, SE3 and SE4. I am able to see the
results in all these corresponding rst files.

thing is possible, please tell me how is that done.
