Objet : [xansys] differnce between uniform and reference temperature

Hello group,

i am new to ANSYS package. i have some queries:

(1) what is the difference between uniform temperature and reference
temperature? If my initial temperature is 1000K and final temperature
is 300K , which is uniform temperature and which is reference
temperature?

(2) If I want to find thermal stress, can I use SHELL63 or SOLID45
elements or are there any special elements that have to be used to
find thermal stress i.e. pre-stress in a structure due to cooling?

(3)I have to apply a uniformly distributed load of 15000N on a line
which is meshed. How should I apply it?

Thanks,
G.Kiran Kumar
