Subject: EMAG: My model for self-inductance

Thank you Mike.
I am a M.E student. It is my first time to do the EMAG analysis.
I think I must make something terribly wrong in my model after I read
your mail.

Please let me describe my model:

What I want to know is a self-inductance of a 3D structure (chip to
package interconnect). So I thought I do not need to build
interconnect array or matrix. One interconnect is enough.

And I use Solid 97 to mesh it. ( no any infinit element)

For material property: I use copper.
MP,MURX,1,1
MP,RSVX,1,1.6E-8
I did not input any B-H data

For loading condition, I give
1)the current density of every segment of structure
2)the freedom of bottom is constrained (AX,AY,AZ are zero)

Then, I define the component name of this structure and define the
array of current.

At last I use LMATRIX the solve this 1*1 matrix to get my
self-inductance value.

Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks a lot!!!!

Angela
