At my last job I was running 5.3 on a low-rent PPro kludge-box
running WNT3.51. The graphics card was a 1995 vintage Matrox
Millenium. It was a little slow to repaint big models, but
otherwise was just fine. Currently, I am on a Dell 400Mhz P2
with a Diamond GL1000 Pro, and it runs 5.4/ED, Nastran for
Windows, Moldflow Part advisor, CMold Quick Fil, and ProE just
fine. this is limited experience, but it tells me that a low
end card can give good results.
