Hi, I had maybe the same problem: the workaround was simply to hit the right mouse key an even number of times while in "select mode", in order to switch from select to unselect and then back to select. After this highlighting was working again. The select feature does not highlight what I am selecting. It works fine for about 5-10 minutes then, it stops to highlight. Thus, I have a hard time figuring our what I had selected. I contacted our Ansys provider, and he asked me to change the video card. That did not make any difference. They do not know the solution. I suppose someone in here would have faced this problem.
