Second: There is no unsymmetric error but the solver uses an unsymmetric procedure. This may occur due to fluid structure interaction or other cases where the matcrices themselves are unsymmetric. The error is given plainly: The iterations didn't converge three times; therefore FLOTRAN stops the solution as seems to be default behavior. Which solver did you select? I'm not sure about the CG since I would expect CR, PCCR or PGMR.

Third: As for my experience - I'm not sure about most part of my posting. I just look into the manuals.
