Ramon,

We use third party software to calculate the dynamic wave pressure
distribution on floating structures. WAMIT is the program we use, but there
are others. WAMIT has no grapical user interface or modeling tools, so we
use ANSYS for pre and post processing. We can also generate a WAMIT model
with Multi-Surf. WAMIT was originally developed by Massacusets Institute of
Technology, hence the name from WAve MIT. Try this http://www.wamit.com

I'm a student from the Vigo University,Spain, getting started with Ansys

I'm using Ansys to simulate the behaviour of a floating marine structure
but I don't know how to simulate the action of the ocean waves upon the
structure.

The structure, more or less, is like a rectangule floating. The efects of
ocean vawes are like vertical forces upon the nodes, but these forces vary
like sines, can I define a force following a trigonometric function with
Ansys?

Sorry about my poor English, I will appreciate any help.
