Subject: Re: ANSYS 57 crashes after edit toolbar

Tom,

It's been over a year since it happened, but I was switching between
toolbars and issuing a ABBR in between to clear out the current
abbreviations before I restacked it back up with other *ABBR's. The blank
ABBR was deleting other parameters that ANSYS needed and was causing it to
crash. It's all a little foggy now, but best as I can remember, instead of
deleting all of the abbreviations with a blank ABBR, I made an interim
abbreviation file and called that to clear out the buttons to a common
starting point.

Hope this helps,

Dear XANSYS list members,

what is Your experience with the following?

If

1. You have defined some abbreviations, that include
/SYS commands (e.g *ABB,EDITOR, /SYS,xterm -vb -bg SteelBlue -cr
yellow -e /usr/bin/vi&)

2. You have placed those abbreviations in the tool bar

3. You want to edit the tool bar,

then

ANSYS performs a very ugly crash.

This happens with HP-UX 10.20

Thank You for Your comments

Tom
