They are worth looking at if your considering the dell. Digital (compaq) has made quite a few enhancements which give you even more bang for you buck. They are about twice as fast as the dells and the graphics are great. Also there is alot more to graphics cards than just their memory. If you want to stay around $6K the alphas may be too high.
