No rating yet Subject: Re: Save your work Author: Danny Levine Date: 2000-11-30 14:35:00We have been following an approach similar to Chris Andersen's, although I certainly see the long term value of saving an input file (or log file) that can rebuild the ANSYS database. We are also exploring the use of a storage medium of intermediate size (i.e. between CD-R and DAT tapes) specifically DVD-RAM. Unfortunately there is essentially no standardization among makers of such drives, so buying one will lock us into a storage format that may disappear in a few years.
Any comments?
