The command works great from the command line, but produces a Warning:
"Incorrect us of JPEG. Command ignored." when invoked in a macro.

Any advice on making the macro work. I'm using HP-UX 10.20, Unix, HP C3000
workstation.

Thanks, Monte

Mark,

When I started getting jpeg output from ANSYS, I also started out using the
/SHOW command. After some experimentation, and some help from the XANSYS
list, I've gone to using the /UI command. A sample chunk from a typical
macro follows...

!
esel,s,type,,1
nsle
!
eplo
/ui,copy,save,jpeg,grap,colo,vid,port,,100
!

This has worked well for me, and I haven't looked at /SHOW since.

As far as renaming the files (i.e. file000.jpg renamed to elem_1.jpg), I've
lost my original desire to do so. Lately I've been leaving them alone, and
just creating an HTML page with a table to view them. The one other
recommendation I got was to try a DOS script to rename the files, but I
haven't tried it.

Hope this helps,,

Controlling name of jpeg output
11/30/00 10:10 AM

Hi

I want to control the name of a jpeg output from ANSYS. Maybe someone can
give me a few tips.

The jpeg comes out as Jobnamennn.jpg and I intend to use a /sys command to
rename it. But I've found that two jpeg files are produced each time the
/show command is issued (eg Jobname000.jpg and Jobname001.jpg). One of the
files is very small (ie not a picture) and the other is the picture.
Trouble it alternates each time as to which one is the big one and which
one is the small one!

If anyone has a trick to rename only the bigger file of the pair, or even
better get ANSYS to produce only one file, I'd love to hear it.
