Typically, ATI has had dismal performance when compared to some of the other "game" cards. The Radeon card sounds like it may change this but I am not holding my breath. They have spent a lot of time focusing on video related apps with the Radeon. Nvidia has been the cream of the crop since the TNT and TNT2 cards hit the streets. Heck, try the GeForce2 DDR card. For under $400 at least you'll be able to drool over Q3 Arena! :) Let us know how it works out. We are going to be facing a similar situation soon since Corporate is trying to rid us of our UNIX boxes and cram NT down our throats. I am already choking just thinking about being stuck on NT. At least I'll have a killer Quake box (that I won't even get to try) :). wink wink

The newest "game" video cards look promising and are "cheap" by CAE standards....
According to the ANSYS web site, nvidia GeForce2 DDR chipset was certified on a DELL..... but has anyone tested/run ANSYS (and or ProE) with ATI's new Radeon 32 DDR
Was thinking about getting one and running it on NT4.0 for about a month... and then moving it to Win2000 Prof.
looking forward to hearing anyone's experiences....
