Subject: Re: IGES import with subsequent creation of a Solid model
Author: Karol Galik

Hi,

thanks to everybody who responded. I left my office shortly after I sent my
question
to find at about 10 answers this morning.

To J. Petterson (confirming M. Mitch)- CDWRITE will not transfer solid model, I
tried that too. From the other messages we now know, why.

I read chapter 6 "Importing Solid Models" carefully (at least I thought so).
Concluding from the XANSYS group replies, the chapter could include something
like:

"Using the DEFAULT option doesn't allow successive standart geometry modeling.
Use
ALTERNATE option if you wont to create a new solid model on the top of the
imported
geometry from the IGES file."
